Many of you who visit my blog know that I own and operate a candy wrapper business called Heavenly Promises.  I started designing and selling candy wrappers in 2000, and I LOVE what I do.  In some ways, the candy wrapper business was my first step into digi-scrapping.  Well, for several months now I’ve been wanting to offer my candy wrappers in a customizable, digi-scrap format.  About the time I REALLY got going with the idea, I found out I was pregnant, and the last four months have somehow vanished!  BUT, I just haven’t been able to let this idea go, especially as Christmas nears!

SO!  I have created a few Christmas candy wrapper designs for those of you who might like to customize, print, and wrap candy bars for Christmas gifts, gift toppers, place-cards, etc.   These candy wrapper fronts are in flattened PNG format.  You can slip an image (like your kids pics!) behind the design, or create a background layer with text and a holiday message.  With your download, you’ll also get a wrapper PRINT template, to make printing easy.  The wrappers fit 2 per 8 1/2 x 11 page (in landscape mode), and you can print as many as you need for your gifts or events.  Please understand that these are PERSONAL USE only – no selling of these items is allowed.

One other item to note: the Hershey company changed their wrapper format about two years ago to the vacuum sealed variety.  For those of you who want to re-create the traditional look of the Hershey bars, I also sell silver foil sheets to pre-wrap your bars.  (You MUST leave the Hershey wrapper on the candy bar – this is required by Hershey company!)  These normally sell for .07 cents each, but for the holidays, I’ll send them to you for .05 cents each, plus $4.05 priority mail shipping costs.  Just send me an email (char@delight-design.com), letting me know how many sheets you want (one sheet per candy bar), and I’ll send you a paypal invoice.  I’ll send wrapping instructions AND a glue stick with your foil sheets to make this entire project nice and easy!

Halloween was quite a success this year.  Samuel was a Red Power Ranger, (and still is, two days later!), and Lil Allan had two costumes because Mommy and Daddy couldn’t decide which one we liked better. He went trick or treating as Curious George, but he also dressed up as Thomas the Tank Engine for awhile. 

Samuel was so excited, you would have thought it was Christmas Day!  I guess that’s what happens when you buy a costume three weeks in advance, let him try it on, and then hide it until Halloween day.  He was beside himself with joy to be a Power Ranger, and walked around all evening saying, “I’m cool, Mommy, I’m cool”.  Since Halloween night, he’s only had the costume off for naps and bedtime – and a brief couple of hours last night when he wore a Frankenstein mask that Mommy and Daddy got for half-price at the grocery store. 

Mommy dressed up as “Silly Mommy” with her hair in wild and crazy pigtails.  Samuel was UTTERLY mortified when Mommy put her hair up in pigtails.  His words were, “But MOMMY!  People will LAUGH at you!  They aren’t supposed to LAUGH, they are supposed to be SCAR-ED!”  (He says “scared” in two syllables).  He really, really, REALLY didn’t want me to have my hair up, and when we got home and I took the pigtails out, he was relieved.  “Mommy, you aren’t silly anymore.  Your hair is better”.
