Samuel is gone this week, with Dale, to southern CA and Disneyland.  He’s been gone since Friday night, and it’s been so odd without him for this long.  Lil Allan was missing him a lot today.  Kept running to the door or up on the loveseat to look out the window, asking for “nanuol”.  Poor guy – he has no one to pick on and bother this week, as Martha isn’t annoyed by him much (yet).

Thankfully I’ve been able to talk to Samuel every night, and he’s having the best time at Disneyland.  He’s met all the characters, except Donald and Daisy Duck (hopes to meet them tomorrow on their last day), and from the sound of it he liked Goofy the best.  He talks so fast on the phone telling me everything they did.  And the best moment?  He was winding down from telling me all the rides he went on, and he says, “Mommy?  Disneyland… this is where all your dreams come true!”  He was so sincere and sweet in telling me that, I started to cry.  I’m sure he’s heard it over and over while being there, but he really took it to heart, and you can tell he believes it.

More layouts coming soon – I’m finding my scrap mojo again, and getting geared up to get caught up!  I need SOMETHING to do while my kindergartner is in school ALL DAY long!   (Yea, that a subject for another post, or you can read about it on the family blog).  It’s not like I can’t find plenty to do really, but I’m sensing I’ll need some scrap therapy the next few weeks as we adjust to Samuel’s new school schedule.  I’ll have to go back and do a few more baby layouts, and cry over how big my boy is.
