Ok, where did 2007 go? I mean, I know we’ve been busy, what with having a baby in March and moving in June and Samuel starting school in August, but STILL! November? I told my grandmother today that maybe NEXT year I’ll be able to find a little of the old me and get organized and “together” again. Maybe? Yea, who am I kidding.
A couple of updates –
Martha is doing GREAT with her life with formula. We hate to feed it to her, cause it smells so nasty, but she guzzles it down now, like she never knew anything about breastfeeding. That’s mostly a good thing, since life would be a lot harder if she was still refusing it.
I haven’t received the official word from the doc yet about surgery or no surgery, but we’re going with the “no news is good news” approach. They have me scheduled for a follow up appointment on November 29th. Something tells me if it were serious enough that I needed surgery, they’d get me in a bit sooner. Plus, the doctors’ told Allan after the procedure (when I was still asleep) that everything went well and as expected. Now they told us BEFORE the procedure that we were doing it to rule out the need for surgery, so that tells me (us) that if it was “as expected”, then the results are NO SURGERY. We’ll find out for sure on the 29th.
I’m working on some fun digi-scrap projects, not all of which can I mention in detail here, because some of the projects are gifts for Christmas for people who may or may not read my blog. I got started making digi-cards and templates the other day and I’m having a blast doing that. I am hoping to have a few templates to put into my shop at Delight-Designs.com soon. I am also working on calendars for 2008, and some other top-secret, delicious gift projects.
In other news, I’ve been working with my friend Laura Coppinger on a new website venture called HeavenlyHomemakers.com. Laura is the one of the coolest gals I know and she is a great mom and wife, and she has so much to offer in terms of encouragement, tips, recipes, and ideas on how to be a “heavenly homemaker”. Her husband had an unexpected career change this summer, and in the midst of that came this new website, ministry, and business for Laura. Be sure to check it out now, and again and again, as she has so many great ideas and she’s just getting started! Oh, if you are stumped for ideas for what to make for dinner, you HAVE to check out her e-book/cookbooks on “What to Do With the Chicken” and “What To Do With The Cow In Your Kitchen”. She also has a “Cocoa” one and a cookbook to use with your kids. Visit the HeavenlyHomemakers shop to see these and more fun items!
Ok, that’s all for now! Hopefully more soon… I’ll try to post again before 2008!
