Gratituesday – My New Kitchen Radio…

Today’s Gratituesday post might seem kind of silly, but my husband gifted me this week with probably one of the best gifts ever, and I’m very, very thankful.
One of the things I struggle with is my melancholy personality which means I lean towards being overwhelmed or worried or minorly depressed on a fairly regular basis. I fight this, and pray about it, and one of the ways that I can best keep my mind in a good place is to listen to music, sing along to music, and worship along with music.
Lately I’ve been spending more time in my kitchen than I used to, washing dishes and cooking and baking and washing more dishes. My kitchen time is the perfect time, on a daily basis, to enjoy song and worship. Recently I started thinking how nice it would be to have a radio/CD player in my kitchen, so I could listen to Christian radio stations and play my worship CD’s.
And my hubby heard my musings, and surprised me with a mounted under-cabinet cd player/radio on Saturday night. He installed it under the cabinet right next to my sink, and WOW, it’s been WONDERFUL! I almost look foward to washing dishes now! And I’m wondering what I can bake this week so I can spend more time in my kitchen!
So, I’m thankful for my new cd player/radio AND for my wonderful husband who spoils me regularly.

Yea! That sounds so great! I love listening to the radio in the kitchen too (except for the times when I finally have a moment to myself…then I just want to enjoy the quiet!). You have such a nice husband!
